BACKGROUND: For seven years of Montevergine Palmariggi in April / May is celebrated on "Gathering CIVIL PROTECTION the Terra d'Otranto (Province of Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto), with the participation of 80 associations and 600 volunteers with all the means provided to them.
Montevergine is a pretty town surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and pine forest, it is placed in a shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Montevergine and attracts pilgrims from all parts of the region. The years just
